"Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again , come , come.”

The Holiday Season is here and we, (Clint & Sara) wanted to bring something to our community that expressed the deep gratitude we have for you. After ideas for handmade ornaments and chocolates were contemplated, we realized that what we wanted to do was experience a moment that was magical with you. Thus the idea of RUMI Under the Cedars was born.

At Sunset on Winter Solstice, please join us for a journey into the life of Mevlana Jalāl-ad-Dīn Rūmī, one of the most celebrated heart poets and teachers. Through story, poetry and music we seek to bring to life an illuminated heart to the darkest night of the year.

We are excited that poet Michail Kyril, cellist Betsy Tinney, violist Geli Wuerzner and storyteller Katie Dyer will be joining us bring this celebration to life.

Tea and treats will be provided.

Please RSVP at http://clintmccunemusic.com/rumi-under-the-cedars as space is limited. If you feel moved to, there is a donation button on the bottom to help cover costs of the venue, The Adair Cabin at Anderson Park in Redmond.

[Shows at the Pocket are $10 online and $14 at the door. Online sales close 4pm day of performance]

Following the success of the "Brother" premiere earlier this Spring, Captain Chambers embarked on a small, and personable tour this past July, sharing his films and ideas with you in a variety of intimate settings. While this tour took you as far South as Tacoma and as far North as Conway, this next journey will take you both East and West, and it will even follow the Captain on his yearly pilgrimage to Tulsa, Oklahoma. "Brother" follows a man through misunderstanding, anger, acceptance, forgiveness, and finally, understanding. This film is at the heart of Captain Chambers' artistic self, and it is a good representation of his style. This night will be an exhibition of his work, the man himself, and the creative spirits that join him for the journey.

Pulling from his own imagination, with influences that span from Godard to Lucas, Captain Chambers is an uncompromising cinematic poet, a celluloid artist and an auteur. He believes in the significance of individual expression, imagination and the sacred and creative self. You may love or hate his work, but you will not find another like him. He paints his stories with moving images and light, and he is not bound by critique or rules. To him, rules are for amateurs, and he loathes the idea of red carpets. Captain Chambers is simple man, but he is a storyteller. Let him tell you a story.

This night, we are hosted by The Pocket Theater, as Captain will be joined by the sounds of Clint McCune Music and friends. The music will feature many songs from Clint’s songbook, selections from the “Brother” soundtrack and a few surprises from the band, which formed specifically for this night! Tickets are $10.
