Benefit for the Okanogen Valley

In the Heart of the Fire – A Benefit Concert for Omak On September 8th at 7pm, Seattle based, Clint McCune Band will be performing at the Omak Performing Arts Center for a free benefit concert to help raise relief, awareness, and money for those in the Okanogan Complex Fire. All donations will go through Okanogan County Community Action Council for Fire Victim Relief (501c3), and will go directly to Omak area residents.

About Clint McCune Band and Okanogan County Community Action Council: Clint McCune, son of KOMO 4’s Don McCune (Captain Puget and Exploration Northwest), has grown up with a deep understanding of the rich history of the Pacific Northwest. Drawing from the traditions of song and storytelling, Clint has traveled from festival stages to the heights of Mt. Everest bringing a message of community and positive change. Accompanying Clint is international touring violinist Geli Wuerzner, and percussionist Aaron Brouillette. Okanogan County Community Action Council (OCCAC) is a non-profit organization that specializes in helping people in poverty, and they have become the clearing house for donations that will be distributed to families that have lost their homes during these fires. Their organization is trusted and respected in the community, and will guarantee that any funds that are generated by the donations will stay in the local area.
