Embracing Change in the Workplace

 —  —

Courtyard Marriott Seattle Bellevue/Redmond, 14615 NE 29th Pl., Bellevue

On Saturday, December 5th, we are launching our first workshop on the Eastside at the Courtyard Marriott Bellevue. This $85 day-long workshop, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, will be focused on embracing change in the workplace. We’ll use music, interactive activities, and mindfulness to create a unique experience to help you embrace change in the workplace.

The workshop is appropriate for both individuals and teams. Individuals will improve their ability to focus on their work and engage with their team. Teams will learn skills that will allow them to work together in a healthy and more effective way. We would like to invite you to join us and share this information with those who you think would benefit including the HR person in your company because it will help you to develop skills that are so important for success in the workplace.

You can find more information below or to enroll in the workshop visit Transformation by Design site http://www.txdesign.net/up-coming-events/.

Over the past year we have been working with Transformation by Design (www.txdesign.net) and our longtime friend Jeffrey Ried to cultivate a program that focuses on creating community in the workplace. Our mission is grand: to help bring about a workplace culture that is supportive, to help create teams and partnerships that are healthy, and to better align who we are with the work we do. As you might imagine, music plays a big part in this work.

Taking our experience of community building and small business development from our time at SoulFood Books and Cafe, paired with Clint's experience using music as a medium for change, we are able to bring a unique perspective. Combining that with Jeffrey’s experience in corporate structure and catalyzing change (he developed and managed multi-million dollar projects for the Gates Foundation and held leadership positions in for-profit, non-profit, and government organizations in the US and Africa), it became clear that we could create a powerful learning experience that would be creative, relevant and fun.

This is an exciting step for us as we continue to seek ways to make positive change in the world, collaborate with people we admire, and be able to do so in creative and dynamic ways.
